On 1 September, the FaSEST celebrated the launch of the EMJM Master's Programme WOCC, showcasing key representatives from French labour instititutions such as the French Ecological Transition Agency (ADEME), the Agence nationale pour l'amélioration des conditions de travail (ANACT), the French Economic, Social and Environmental Council (CESE) and the French International Labour Organization (ILO) office. A series of conferences was held on social dialogue, ecological transition, global challenges and research, in the context of the worlds of work. José CALDERON GIL, programme director and project coordinator, opened the ceremony followed by interventions from Jean François BODART, ULille vice-president for International Relations, and Juliette VERDIÈRE, vice-dean of the FaSEST. Such interventions praised the ambition of this new programme as well as its collective and international approach.

Throughout the integration week, the Master's students took part in several workshops providing an extensive overview of all four semesters in each of the partner higher education institutions as well as their respective research labs.

Key highlight of this event: the visit to Dunkirk, a preview of the field work week planned on site in early November as part of the ULille semeser's programme. Students, partners and several academic staff members were thus invited to participate in a guided tour of the port and the city of Dunkirk, which illustrated post-World War 2 industrial transformations and their economic and social impacts in the region.
