WOCC: Contemporary Challenges in the Worlds of Work

A unique international master's degree in social sciences

The WOCC Master's program is an interdisciplinary, bilingual, and international degree dedicated to the study of contemporary transformations in the worlds of work and employment. This program of excellence combines academic rigor, international openness, and grounding in professional realities.

An international pathway of excellence

The WOCC Master's program is based on a unique mobility experience across three countries. Semesters 1 and 4 take place at the University of Lille, the coordinating institution, while semesters 2 and 3 are completed at two partner universities according to the chosen specialization.

The consortium brings together six prestigious universities in Canada, Argentina, Belgium, Spain, Italy, and France. This mobility enables students to compare different approaches to work and employment while developing essential adaptability skills in a globalized professional world.

The program is structured around four core areas: understanding global dynamics of work and employment, analyzing public policies, studying contemporary challenges (sustainability, diversity, mental health, digital transformation), and developing analytical and critical skills adapted to the changing labor market.

Three professional profiles, training grounded in reality

WOCC trains three complementary profiles: researchers specialized with the possibility of pursuing a PhD, public policy analysts destined for international organizations and national institutions, and field practitioners for expertise positions in companies, unions, and NGOs.

Through partnerships with public administrations, NGOs, companies, and unions, the program combines theoretical analysis, practical immersion, and international cooperation. Mandatory internships and study trips to international institutions enable students to build their professional projects.

Upon completion of the program, students receive the WOCC Master's degree awarded by the consortium, as well as the degrees from partner universities where they completed their pathway. This internationally recognized multiple degree constitutes a major asset for professional integration or further studies.
